Automated Thermoplastic Injection Molding in Production — ABS, PC, PP, PA
This video shows our automated injection molding cell running standard thermoplastic materials including ABS, PC (Polycarbonate), PP, and PA (Nylon). The process is straightforward: plastic pellets are dried, melted in the barrel, injected into a cooled mold, packed, cooled, and ejected as a solid part — no chemical curing, no heating the mold to cure, fully recyclable if reground.
What the footage captures:
• Hopper drying and automatic pellet feeding
• Barrel melting and screw plasticizing (standard thermoplastic setup)
• Injection into a water-cooled mold (not a heated thermoset tool)
• Cooling phase controlled by mold temperature controller
• Automated ejector sequence + robotic take-out arm placing parts on conveyor
• In-line visual check and box packing
Materials we run in this cell:
• ABS – housings, brackets, handles
• PC – transparent lenses, medical enclosures
• PP – containers, living hinges
• PA (Nylon) – gears, wear strips, structural clips
• Optional: PC/ABS, POM, PBT, ASA
Process specs:
• Tolerance: ±0.05mm standard, ±0.01mm on critical seated dimensions
• Mold base: LKM / HASCO / DME, single or multi-cavity
• Shot weight and tonnage matched per part
• Lead time: 15–30 days for tooling and first article (depending on complexity)
• Inspection: CMM, caliper, FAIR on request
